Here are some highlights!

THURSDAY NIGHT

Ward Eights

The Ward Eights is your party waiting to happen. Specializing in funk, soul and R&B, but also being no stranger to rock and hip-hop, The Ward Eights will keep your guests entertained and dancing all night long. The Ward Eights are a band born in the audio department of Harmonix, the cutting-edge video game developer behind games such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Dance Central. We've spent the last few years making killer music video games together, and now, in addition to that, we're bringing that same passion for music, musical authenticity, and, most of all, fun to the stage. We're co-workers, great friends and serious professional musicians (who don't take ourselves too seriously).

Freeze Pops

One of the hottest bands in the area, The Freeze Pops generates energy and excitement everywhere they perform. This dynamic band is comprised of four to five very talented musicians who have been performing with each other for almost 20 years. Their genre consists of just about everything ranging from country, rock, R&B, funk, and Top 40. The Freeze Pops do it all !

Kailey Poitras

Kailey is a local singer/songwriter who is currently in the process of recording her debut album. She is accompanied on guitar by her dad, Ron Poitras, who has been in the music industry for over 40 years as a guitarist and sound engineer. She feels lucky and thankful that she is able to work with her dad as she has so much respect and appreciation for him as a musician. They perform together at bars and restaurants in the New Bedford area. Within the past few years, Kailey began seriously focusing on writing her own songs.

FRIDAY NIGHT

Sorry for the lions

Sorry For the Lions is a New Bedford, MA based Punk rock band comprised of 5 members: Johnny Hurley (Vocals), Dan Hurley (Lead Guitar), Jeremy Hoyle (Rhythm Guitar), Kris Motta (Bass) and The Alias (Ben Lacasse) (Drums). The band saw its humble beginnings at the Dream Out Loud Center for the Arts, where Kris, Ben and Jeremy are artistic instructors, teaching their students how to succeed in a working world with their individual creative skills.

They came onto the local New Bedford scene on Halloween, where Kris, The Alias (Ben Lacasse) and Jeremy played a show at the community center. After which, they collectively decided to stick together and make music as an official group. The band would go through a few different trial members while they tried to perfect their sound. It was not until the induction of Johnny and Dan Hurley that this sound was achieved, which marked the true birth of Sorry For the Lions. The group now gigs throughout New England with their fun-loving attitude and high- energy performances to bring the innovative approach to the punk rock sound people know and love.
